Where do I even start? The first time I came to your studio, I was greeted by such a welcoming smile, I felt I already knew you. Finding my koorai was the easiest thing in the world. I remember literally just turning up at your studio and was shown the most beautiful and extensive shades of colours possible.
The koorai that I fell in love with was hand picked in colour and designed by yourself. I loved how the colour was not a standard koorai sari and the work itself was an antique gold, absolutely beautiful.
The service you offered was exceptional. You are always willing to help. As I was looking for a specific colour for the first sari, you even offered to keep an eye out when you made a trip to India.
Although my wedding didn’t take place the way I initially envisioned, we ended up having a small, intimate wedding at home on what was the hottest day of the year so far. The koorai sari was so light weight and draped beautifully. Normally when I wear a sari, I can’t wait to take it off but I did not feel that with this one. I felt so comfortable wearing it around the whole day.

She really does go above and beyond to find you the saree you’re after, even during lockdown and the lack of import from India she was sourcing what I was looking for and kept me up to date with when stock was arriving. She was so dedicated to helping us get what we were after despite lockdown! We had a video call and she herself delivered the saree to us on the same day!!

Thank you so much for your help with my saree for my Nitchyathartham. Because of covid I had to find my saree through organising multiple video appointments with many saree houses. The day I spoke to you, I had 3 other calls lined up that day. Whether it be my eastern or western wardrobe, I have never been swayed by the latest fashion trend. I’ve always tended to lean towards pieces that are Timeless. Ranya Sarees is a rare gem in the world of modern designers and fashion who can bring out the timeless in any piece.
Like most, I was browsing for my wedding saree, and I came across Ranya Sarees Instagram page. I loved their pieces and colour combinations.
I had already selected a saree from India and had reserved it to purchase, however I came across this saree and for some reason I couldn’t keep my eyes off it – in a strange way it almost spoke to me. Each one of my wedding pieces has a traditional large border and this particular one was extraordinarily beautiful as it had many different motifs combined in a double sided large border. I couldn’t decide between the one I had reserved and this one so I left the decision in the hands of the one I love the most – Sandeep. He saw both and said go with the Ranya Sarees one! I was internally elated as I was hoping he’d say that too!
Courtesy of COVID I was not able to see the saree in person but Abarna was very good in showing me the saree in every angle on facetime and taking me through all my questions and doubts. I remember receiving it in the post in London and the saree was even more beautiful in person
than it was in the photos.

It was the traditional managalam colours with the modern touch details. I feel like I’m exaggerating, but so many people loved the saree. My videographer and photographer were also impressed and asked where I got it from! I think they were also excited to work with such a vibrant and unique colour palette. It was the perfect saree for a wedding, and I couldn’t be more thankful!
